Bill Barratt, Senior Manager
With decades of experience in the non-profit industry, Bill Barratt has an inherent understanding of the responsibilities and challenges associated with both the 'giving' and 'asking' side of the fundraising equation. A graduate of the London School of Economics, Barratt has expertise in fiscal and project planning, management, organizational governance and forensic due diligence.

Upon completion of his post-graduate studies Barratt worked in increasingly senior positions within the financial services industry in Canada, the United States and Europe. Following these assignments he was a Senior Manager, Advisor and/or Director of a broad range of private, public, aboriginal and non-profit organizations, including a nine year term as a Board Member and Senior Advisor to the Naniwa Trust, a private foundation and investment trust with assets in excess of $400 million


Morgan Trerise, Senior Research Consultant
Morgan is one of Metasoft's most experienced and efficient prospect researchers. Her knowledge of both FoundationSearch and BIGOnline databases and alternative internet sources ensures prospect research tasks are accomplished in a very timely but comprehensive manner.

Her work for many GDS clients has resulted in an acute awareness of the challenges faced by the non-profit sector, and fueled her drive to assist these organizations in reaching their fundraising goals. Prior to Metasoft Systems, Inc, Morgan received a Bachelor of Arts (Anthropology) at the University of Victoria


Susan Fox (PhD), Senior Contract Consultant
In addition to an under graduate degree in vocational training and an MA in Economic Development from California State University , Dr. Fox was awarded a Doctorate in Education from Pepperdine University. With over 20 years of grant development experience for California-based educational institutions, including the grant authorship of more than 35 successful state, federal and private foundation funding proposals totaling over $38 million, Dr. Fox has extensive executive experience in the planning, implementation and administration of community partnerships and public education programs.


Paula Moloff, Senior Contract Consultant
Highly skilled in preparing grant applications at private and public levels, Paula has monitored all awarded projects to successful completion in her decades within the non-profit sector. She is an experienced teacher, mentor and workshop presenter that maintains excellent working relationships with donors, prospects and peers.

Prior to joining Metasoft, Moloff was a Senior Partner at an Arizona based consulting firm for 25 years with clients ranging from research corporations to tribal governments, and she spent 15 years as the City of Glendale Grants Administrator with a wide spectrum of projects and a funding success rate of 90-95%. She was also a Senior Health Care Executive for a significant period, which has resulted in her thorough understanding of the health care industry. Donna Doty (PhD), Senior Contract Consultant
A seasoned fundraiser with 20 years of progressive fundraising and grant development experience in the non- profit education, health and social services sectors,. Dr. Doty holds Doctoral and Masters Degrees in sociology from New York's Fordham University. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Development for the Work In America Institute.

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Doty was the Director of Public Funding & Marketing for Goodwill Industries and Director of Grants & Government Relations for the National Center for Disability Services. During her time with these organizations, Dr. Doty was responsible for authoring a large number of successful Grant Proposals, for a total of $21 million in public and private funding.

An accomplished writer, editor and researcher, Dr. Doty has produced a wide array of fundraising communications and supporting documentation, including marketing strategies and promotional materials, direct mail appeals, budget narratives and reports.


Tom Balke, Senior Contract Consultant
Tom Balke has more than 20 years experience working with non-profit and charitable organizations as a senior manager, administrator, marketing representative and fundraiser. He is a former Vice President of External Relations for Regent College, a Christian education program that is affiliated with the University of British Columbia.

Prior to his work with GDS, Balke was the Divisional Director (Atlantic Region) for the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, where he authored a landmark White Paper on the future of Christian colleges and universities in Canada. In addition, Balke was Manager of the Central Canada region for Operation Eyesight, as well as Information Officer for the International Council for Adult Education.


Kathie Bell, Contract Consultant
With over two decades of experience working with and for boards of Canadian charitable organizations, Kathie is an authority on Board development and organizational leadership. Her knowledge of foundation management and philanthropy combined with her extensive experience with the granting process have resulted in a thorough understanding of the importance of presenting a compelling case for support that is grounded in sound research and outlines an effective strategy with achievable objectives and measurable outcomes.

Prior to joining Metasoft, Kathie was the Director of Programs for the Edmonton Community Foundation and Manager of Named Funds for the Vancity Community Foundation. With a degree in psychology, Kathie brings a passion for social justice and community partnerships that is an asset to every project.


Raine McKay, Contract Consultant
Raine McKay has worked in the women's health and mental health sectors for the past 26 years, as an Executive Director and fund development consultant. She has considerable expertise in non-profit management and organization, as well as in all aspects of fundraising campaign planning, development and execution.

A seasoned writer, trainer and public speaker, McKay has employed her extensive knowledge of the non- profit sector to shape regional and national fundraising campaigns, public policy awareness programs and community development initiatives for a range of clients. McKay holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from Wake Forest University of North Carolina.
